The customer received a defect letter for his meter panel as it was deemed unsafe with it hanging from the wall with live parts exposed. The power was then disconnected for safety reasons and required a REC (registered electrical contractor) to rectify this problem.

Therefore I removed all of the existing box and parts and replaced it with a whole new meter box enclosure. Also upgrading the switchboard with rcd protection for all sub circuits. Now it’s all safe and ready for reconnection from ausnet.
