This EOFY, every meal matters and every opportunity matters.

Right next door to our cafe is Windbreak 3690 , the only free youth space in Wodonga for young people aged 12–25. Windbreak 3690 provides meals, connection, support and a safe place to spend time, and as a social enterprise café, we’re helping create opportunities for young people to build skills, confidence and experience.

Whether you purchase a Pay It Forward meal, donate online or make a direct EOFY contribution, your support helps create both immediate support and future opportunities for local young people.

🧁 We're doing it again and baking for a cause all month!
We’re proud to be taking part in Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea again this year, raising funds for vital cancer research, prevention and support services.

50% of proceeds from every scone sold at Close Collective Café this month will go directly to Cancer Council for this important cause.

We'll be back open from Tuesday.

Kicking off the week with something sweet! 🧁

The Orchard Program has been in the kitchen and their latest creation is too good not to share - gluten free yo-yos with a lemon filling. Soft, zesty and absolutely delicious.

We are loving seeing these incredible young people growing in their skills and confidence each week - and it is absolutely evident in what they're producing! 💙

Fresh from The Orchard Program 🍪

Our Orchard participants have been in the kitchen baking loaded cookies, now available to purchase in the cabinet at the café! Today’s flavours are Biscoff & white chocolate and Kinder & Nutella.

The Orchard Program is our hands-on work experience program for young people, supporting them to build confidence and practical hospitality skills in a real café environment. Every purchase at our cafe helps make opportunities like this possible.

We’ll be open from 5.30am this ANZAC Day, welcoming our community as the Dawn Service takes place at Woodland Grove, just outside the café. 💙

From the early morning, we’ll be serving fresh coffee and bacon and egg rolls for those gathering before the service or coming together afterwards. A place to pause, reflect and share time with one another.

Breakfast bookings are available following the service. We invite you to join us with friends, family and neighbours as we honour the significance of the day.

Behind every serving is someone who cares. 🍝

Our amazing Jess is cooking up a batch baked pasta for Windbreak 3690 this week, which is our youth space right next door where young people come to make connections and share a home cooked meal. And another round will be heading out through Pay it Forward initiative that turns a $10 donation into a meal for someone who needs it.
