We were proud to take part in an engaging panel discussion that brought together distinguished healthcare professionals from Bosnia and Herzegovina and abroad to exchange perspectives on the challenges and future of healthcare systems.

The panel featured Dr. Vedka Begović (Scripps Clinic and Green Hospital, La Jolla, California), Dr. Ismet Gavrankapetanović (Abdulah Nakaš General Hospital), Dr. Natalia Kalandarishvili (ASA Medical Group), Dr. Anes Jogunčić (Institute for Public Health of Sarajevo Canton), and Dr. Rasim Jusufović (SSST and ASA Bolnica).

The discussion was further enriched by the participation of experts from ASA Bolnica, Eurofarm Centar Poliklinika, and ASA Institut, member institutions of ASA Medical Group, demonstrating the strength of collaboration, shared expertise, and a joint commitment to advancing patient care and healthcare excellence.

Through open dialogue and the exchange of knowledge, the panel highlighted the importance of multidisciplinary cooperation in addressing today’s healthcare challenges and shaping a healthier future for our communities.

A new chapter in cardiovascular care in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

ASA Medical Group has officially signed an agreement to acquire Centar za Srce Sarajevo, one of the country’s leading institutions specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases.

This acquisition represents an important strategic milestone in the continued development of ASA Medical Group and further strengthens our capabilities in cardiology and cardiothoracic surgery.

By bringing together the expertise of Centar za Srce Sarajevo with the integrated healthcare system of ASA Hospital, Eurofarm Polyclinics and ASA Institute, we are creating new opportunities to:

• strengthen clinical excellence and professional capacities
• improve continuity of care across the patient journey
• invest further in technology, education, research and innovation
• bring high-quality specialist care closer to patients across Bosnia and Herzegovina

The “Open Doors Day” programme was successfully held at Eurofarm Polyclinic Goražde, where citizens were provided with free health check-ups and professional consultations.

Medical teams from ASA Hospital and Eurofarm Polyclinic offered preventive examinations, individual consultations, and expert recommendations focused on the early detection of health concerns and the preservation of overall wellbeing.

We had the pleasure of welcoming a distinguished delegation from Wirtschaftsagentur Wien - Vienna Business Agency to ASA Medical Group in Sarajevo.

The delegation included Mr. Christian Frey, International Business Director, Mr. Dominic Weiss, Managing Director, and Mrs. Nela Sljivljak, International Business Regional Manager for Settlements CEE & SEE.

During the visit, we presented the scope of our operations, key capacities, and long-term development vision of ASA Medical Group, including ASA Bolnica and ASA Institute Bosnia and Herzegovina. Discussions focused on investments in healthcare innovation, strengthening international collaboration, and identifying shared priorities and opportunities between Sarajevo and Vienna.

This visit represents an important step in strengthening connections between key stakeholders in international business development and healthcare innovation, while opening space for more structured cross-border collaboration.

We had the honor of hosting Her Excellency Mrs. María Molina Álvarez de Toledo, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain to Bosnia and Herzegovina, at ASA Bolnica, part of ASA Medical Group.

The visit included a comprehensive hospital tour, followed by a meeting with ASA Medical Group leadership to explore opportunities for cooperation and strengthen long-term partnerships in the healthcare sector.

The discussion highlighted ASA Medical Group’s approach to integrated care, connecting hospital and outpatient services into a coordinated system designed to improve efficiency, ensure continuity of care, and enhance patient outcomes.

Hosted at ASA Institute, the meeting with mayors and municipal leaders from cities across Bosnia and Herzegovina was held within the framework of the 2026 Summit and the presentation of the diaspora connectivity platform, DIASPORA CONNECTING. ✔️

As a partner of this initiative, ASA Medical Group, together with ASA Bolnica, recognizes the importance of building stronger and more meaningful connections with citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina living and working around the world.

On behalf of ASA Medical Group and ASA Bolnica, attendees were addressed by Assist. Prof. Azur Tulumović, MD, Director of ASA Bolnica, and Dr. Natalia Kalandarishvili, COO of ASA Medical Group, who emphasized the importance of collaboration with local communities, knowledge exchange, and sustainable partnerships across Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The meeting also provided an opportunity to present ASA Medical Group as the largest private healthcare system in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as ASA Bolnica as the first private general hospital of its kind in the country.
