Over the past two and a half years (January 2024 – June 2026), we had the privilege of working alongside 14 partner organisations from 9 countries across the Danube Region — from Baden-Württemberg all the way to the Moldovan Danube Delta — to help move the plastics and mechanical engineering industries towards a truly circular future.

With more than 450 industry representatives, we ran 30 design thinking workshops, gathered best practices, and turned real challenges into practical tools—guidelines, handbooks, transnational strategies—and, as the project's flagship output, the Transnational Action Plan for integrating circularity across the entire plastics value chain.

What made this project special wasn't just the outputs — it was the process. Watching plastics processors, machine manufacturers, business support organisations, and researchers from such different regional starting points sit down together, share honestly about their challenges, and co-create solutions was genuinely energising. That's transnational cooperation at its best.

A huge thank you to our Lead Partner Business Upper Austria - OÖ Wirtschaftsagentur GmbH, to every partner organisation who brought expertise and energy to this project, and to the Interreg Danube Region Programme and the European Union for making this cooperation possible.
The work doesn't stop here — all our results, handbooks, and the Action Plan are freely available for companies, policymakers, and researchers ready to take the next step towards circularity.

Interreg Danube NCP BiH Industrial Hub Tuzla

U proteklih mjesec dana Fondacija za Inovacije, tehnologiju i transfer znanja zajedno sa Industrial Hub Tuzla imala je priliku biti domaćin dvije posjete studenata/ica Ekonomskog fakulteta u Tuzli, a koji su posjetili naš zajednički Centar za robotiku u sklopu predmeta Menadžment malih i srednjih preduzeća, pod mentorstvom profesorice Selme Smajlović i asistentice Džane Čaušević.

Ova posjeta nije samo dio nastavnog programa, ona je primjer onoga što je moguće kada se akademska zajednica i inovacioni sistem udruže s jednim ciljem: izgradnjom bolje budućnosti u Bosni i Hercegovini za sve ambiciozne mlade ljude.

Mladi ljudi koji danas sjede u učionicama i amfiteatrima su sutrašnji osnivači, inovatori i lideri. Ono što im trebamo pružiti nije samo znanje iz udžbenika već prave prilike, mentore i okruženje u kojem mogu rasti.

Saradnja Ekonomskog fakulteta i F**T-a upravo to radi. I pozivamo sve koji dijele ovu viziju — partnere, donatora i organizacije — da nam se pridruže na putu inovacija i jednakog obrazovanja za svu djecu i mlade u Bosni i Hercegovini. 🤝

Zajedno možemo stvoriti uvjete u kojima uspješne priče iz BiH postaju pravilo, a ne iznimka.

We were excited to take part in Pack Show Bucharest, where the Plan C project delivered a professional presentation during the project’s final conference on May 12.

The conference focused on promoting greater circularity and sustainability within the plastics and machinery industry, addressing the sector’s current challenges and exploring innovative solutions for building a more responsible and sustainable future.

The event brought together international partners, experts, and industry professionals for inspiring discussions, collaboration, and knowledge exchange.
