Regional Tuberculosis Reference Laboratory-RTRL, Chittagong

Diagnosis of child TB is the current challenge for us. To combat that National TB control program gradually initiated stool test for child by Genexpert in all RTRL's, the latest implementation site of the plan is RTRL Chattogram. After the successful training supported by IDDS (USAID) on last week from last 30th March RTRL Chattogram give one more step to diagnosis by starting stool sampkes of children under 5 to diagnose children’s pulmonary tuberculosis which sensitivity is 52%.
We are planning to expand the facility gradually to all genexpert sites.
