"Brusque" is an adjective used to describe someone who is abrupt or curt in manner, or who speaks in a blunt or unfriendly way. A brusque person might seem rude or impatient, and may not take the time to be polite or considerate when interacting with others. The word can also be used to describe actions or behaviors that are done in a harsh or rough way.

For example:

To "boast" means to talk with excessive pride or self-satisfaction about one's achievements, possessions, or abilities. It is often seen as a negative trait, as it can come across as arrogant or conceited.

On the other hand, to "boost" means to increase or improve something. It can be used in a variety of contexts, such as boosting the signal strength of a wireless network, boosting the performance of a car engine, or boosting the morale of a team. Boosting is generally seen as a positive thing.
