ডেঙ্গু জ্বরের প্রাথমিক লক্ষণ:

১। ডেঙ্গু জ্বরের উপ্তিকাল ৫-৭ দিন । প্রথমে ২/৩ দিন প্রবল জ্বর হয়, তারপর কয়েকদিন তাপ কম হয় ।

২। সারা অঙ্গে গ্রন্থিসমূহে প্রবল ব্যথা হয়।

৩। শরীরে শীত শীত অনুভব করে এবং কম্প দিয়া জ্বর আসে। তীব্র মাথা ব্যথা হয় ।

৪। বমি বমি ভাব হয় কিংবা বমি হয়।

৫। শরীরে ও কোমরে তীব্র ব্যথা এই রোগের বিশেষ একটি লক্ষণ ।

৬। জ্বরের তাপ ১০২° ডিগ্রীর উপর হয়।

৭। দ্বিতীয় বার জ্বরের সময় রোগীর হাত, পা ও বুকে এক ধরনের র‍্যাশ বাহির হয়।

৮ । গলার গ্রন্থি ফুলিয়া যাইতে পারে।

৯। আরোগ্য লাভ করিবার পর রোগীর খুব দুর্বলতা থাকে।

১১। নাক দিয়ে রক্ত পড়া

১২। স্বাশ কষ্ট /

১৩। প্রসাবের সাথে রক্ত পড়া।

ডেঙ্গু জ্বরে আক্রান্ত ব্যক্তির এই ধরনের লক্ষণ দেখা দিলে যত দ্রুত সম্ভব এই টেস্ট গুলো করাতে হবে:ঢাকায় বঙ্গবন্ধু মেডিকেল বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের চিকিৎসক সাজ্জাদ হোসেন বলছেন ডেঙ্গু জ্বরে আক্রান্ত ব্যক্তির জন্য সাধারণত ডেঙ্গু NS1, এন্টিজেন, অ্যান্টিবডি পরীক্ষা, CBC (প্লাটিলেট কাউন্টসহ) পরীক্ষা করাই যথেষ্ট হয়ে থাকে। তবে রোগীর অবস্থা জটিল হলে বা রক্তক্ষরণের মতো সমস্যা দেখা গিলে তখন আরও কিছু টেস্ট করানো দরকার হয়ে থাকে।
