বুকের তাজা রক্ত ঢেলে দিয়ে গেলো কত রফিক, সালাম, বরকত...
তাদের ঋণ কি শোধ হয়?
কখনো না, কখনো না।

তবু প্রতিবার ভোর নামে,
ফেব্রুয়ারির শিশির জুড়ে খোদাই করা থাকে
"আমার ভাইয়ের রক্তে রাঙানো একুশে ফেব্রুয়ারি,
আমি কি ভুলিতে পারি?"

২১শে ফেব্রুয়ারি শুধু দিন নয়,
একটি ইতিহাসের নাম,
একটি জাতির আত্মপরিচয়ের উৎসব,
একটি ভাষার চিরন্তন অহংকার।

যে ভাষার জন্য প্রাণ দিতে শিখেছি,
সেই ভাষাতেই আজ বিশ্ব ভালোবাসা জানায়।
একুশ মানে
