Brick walls breathe,
Courtyard floats with light,
Five rooms bloom on a small plot,
A home—
both rooted and rising.
~ ‘At the heart of the home lies a central courtyard, which not only channels light and ventilation deep into the compact footprint but also creates a layered connection between interior and exterior spaces. The porous brick screen provides privacy while tempering the harsh sun, blending traditional materiality with a modern minimalist expression,

The purpose of building this mosque is to provide the people working in the factory a place for five daily prayers. The client and architect both wanted to create a calm and serene environment. Thus the core idea is to make this project an embodiment of spirituality. The designers opted for a pure form in order to adhere to simplicity but also attempted to explore beyond the limitation that comes with it.In plan view it is a simple square surrounded by a circular pathway but two crisscrossed arches in the ceiling makes the interior more dynamic dividing it in quadrants.
Not only just a typical design symbol for a mosque but, these arches are also the light source for the indoors. The facade has been deliberately made heavy and solid to separate the indoors from bustling outdoors. Patterned punches on it are to control the sharp sun rays and welcome the daylight only.Main road for heavy weight transportation is right beside this project location, thus the key constraint was to keep the sound pollution at an optimum level for the users. Therefore, the plinth has been raised above 12 feet from road level and the mass sits on an earth mound, which is acting as a natural sound barrier.
