• You can read engineering work well enough to ask useful questions. You don’t need to write code, but you can follow a system design conversation and tell a “we’re blocked on infra” from a “we don’t know what we’re building.”
• Strong written communication. Sprint updates, escalations, postmortems — clear, short, useful.
