Correct use of “No / Not”
Our discussing is going on about Correct Pronunciation of Letters or Alphabet but at present we are going to discuss about a most important subject which is “ No / Not”
We almost notice that most of times we mistake to use “ No and Not”. So here we have discussed very easy and simple way in a word that where use “no / not.
1. No : No uses before Noun . Besides it uses before uncountable noun, comparative degree and gerund . Such as –
A. We have no money,
B. no water / there is no water in the glass,
C. No better girl / there is no better girl is more beautiful than she in the class.
D. No smoking or no disturbing or no thinking.
2. Not: Not uses before verb and adjective. Besides it uses to change affirmative sentence with be verb / helping verb( am, is, are, was, were, will, shall, can, could, would , may, might etc. after them ) to change negative. And without these verbs to use do /does /did and then uses not. Such as –
A. The man has not stolen.
B. People have not strong opinion to the Government about their demand.
C. we are not reach.
D. You have not a pen , She does not love you, Shakespeare did not rebuke her.
