The client’s vision emphasized maximizing natural ventilation and airflow from the south, particularly taking advantage of the prevailing southeast winds during Bangladesh’s summer and monsoon seasons. In response, our design strategically positions the primary living spaces—such as bedrooms and balconies—along the southern façade, enhancing both comfort and connection to the outdoors.

At the ground level, a central courtyard serves as a multifunctional space, designed for children’s play, informal gatherings, and as a pocket of greenery that introduces natural light and cross-ventilation into the home.

Material selection reflects a commitment to simplicity and durability—exposed brick and concrete provide a timeless aesthetic while minimizing maintenance needs. Additionally, a rainwater harvesting system has been integrated into the underground water reservoir, reinforcing the project’s ecological sensitivity and sustainable intent.

A window is not just a part of a building; it’s a beautiful blend of architecture and art—a carefully crafted frame where light, air, and shadows weave their own tales. Its placement isn’t random; it’s designed to catch the breeze, to welcome the sun, and to invite the outside world in. The use of wood and fabric softens its lines, transforming a mere structure into a warm atmosphere, and turning functionality into emotion. In its rhythm, the window evolves beyond mere design—it becomes a living canvas, where architecture harmonizes with nature, creating a form of poetry.
