The Scottish immigrants from America had a tradition of deep-frying chicken in fat in the middle ages.

They would often work & eat with the African slaves and this lead to the African slaves adding some more spices to the recipe and creating their own interpretation of fried chicken.

These Africans later went on to become the cooks in many a Southern American household where fried chicken became a common staple.

It’s believed that fried rice was invented sometime during the Sui dynasty (A.D. 589–618), in the city of Yangzhou in eastern Jiangsu province, China. Many varieties of fried rice have their own specific list of ingredients. Yangchow (Yangzhou) fried rice is still the standard by which all other Chinese fried rice dishes are judged.
