IoT Lab - DIU

We are pleased to share that the IoT Lab, Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Daffodil International University continues to make steady progress in the field implementation of an ongoing research project in collaboration with WaterAid Bangladesh.

On 16 June 2026, a team from the IoT Lab visited Lalashorai Tekpara, Mirpur-14, Dhaka to continue the field-level installation and testing activities of the developed system. During the visit, the team successfully completed the scheduled installation work and monitored the performance of the installed devices to ensure their smooth operation. The project team worked closely with local community members and stakeholders throughout the implementation process. Through continuous testing, monitoring, and improvement, the team remains committed to ensuring the successful ex*****on of the project and developing practical technology-driven solutions to real-world challenges.

The team would like to express its sincere gratitude to the Head of the Department of CSE, the Associate Heads of the Department, and the Convener of the IoT Lab for their continuous support, encouragement, and valuable guidance throughout the project.

We appreciate the dedication and hard work of all team members who are contributing to this important research initiative.

The IoT Lab, Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Daffodil International University, successfully organized an Introduction Session on 8 June 2026, for the newly recruited members of the IoT Lab.

The session was graced by the presence of the respected Head and Associate Heads of the Department of CSE, Convener of the IoT Lab, Coordinator of the IoT Lab, and faculty members associated with the IoT Lab. They warmly welcomed the new members and shared valuable guidance and suggestions for their journey with the lab.

During the session, the activities, achievements, and opportunities of the IoT Lab were presented by the Lab Officer and the Student Researcher in detail, helping the newly recruited members gain a better understanding of the lab and inspiring them to explore the exciting world of IoT and research.

We warmly welcome all the new members to the IoT Lab family and wish them a successful and rewarding journey ahead.

We are proud to share that a research paper titled "Design and Implementation of a Smart Agricultural Robot with Autonomous Navigation" has been accepted at the 2026 IEEE International Conference on Quantum Photonics, Artificial Intelligence, and Networking (IEEE QPAIN 2026). The paper was completed by a dedicated team from the IoT Lab, Department of CSE, Daffodil International University.

We are happy to announce that the IoT Lab, Department of Computer Science & Engineering (CSE), Daffodil International University, has started the installation of devices at the field level at Lalashorai Tekpara, Mirpur-14, Dhaka, as part of an ongoing research project in collaboration with WaterAid Bangladesh.

A team from the IoT Lab, led by the Lab Officer and team members, visited the project area and successfully installed 3 devices in 3 different households. During the installation process, the team closely worked with local community members and representatives to ensure smooth setup and proper operation of the devices.

The IoT Lab team is committed to continuing this work with dedication, addressing technical and field-level challenges, and moving forward toward successful implementation of the project.

We are proud to share that 3 teams from the IoT Lab, Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Daffodil International University participated in the Poster Presentation Competition organized by the Division of Research (DoR), DIU on 13 May 2026.

The participants successfully presented their work and received certificates in recognition of their participation and contribution.

The competition created a valuable platform for students to share their research ideas with peers, faculty members, and industry professionals. It also encouraged intellectual exchange, collaboration, and discussion within the academic community.
