Huseni Dalan bombing
A black day for us

We are shocked at the dastardly bombing targeting the mourners at Husseini Dalan Imambara on the night before the Ashura. The act deserves our strongest contempt. This is unprecedented in Bangladesh. In fact Muslims in this country have been participating in mourning the martyrs of Karbala and observing the Ashura peacefully cutting across sectarian divide, over a long time.

It would not be remiss to suggest that there is a pattern in the three violent incidents of the last one month. First it was the killing of the two foreigners. And now we have the bombing at a Shia place of congregation.

It is evident that the purpose of these attacks is to destabilise the country by exploiting as many issues as possible to create a divide within the country including denting the sectarian harmony that Bangladesh has enjoyed for so long. But we are not sure what dividend it will accrue to the perpetrators of these crimes.

We would strongly recommend that the government and not the police, as has been done, should form the probe body to investigate the matter, because there is a need to bring out the loopholes in police arrangements, if any, covering the Ashura observance.

But be that as it may, we would hope that the probe body would not be swayed in their investigation by the knee jerk comments of some politicians of the ruling party on the matter. Nothing damages more the course of an investigation than unsubstantiated comments on an issue under probe. The real culprits must be identified and nabbed and brought to justice soonest.

সহজে Clause শেখার উপায়!!!!

Clause থেকে সবসময়ই প্রশ্ন অাসে পরীক্ষায়। সহজেই একটু পরিশ্রম করে Clause থেকে ১/২ নাম্বার পাওয়া সম্ভব৷ তাছাড়া Speaking ও free hand Writing এ Clause গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা পালন করে থাকে।

Clause ও phrase এর মধ্যে মূল পার্থক্য হচ্ছে Clause এ একটি Subject ও একটি Finite verb থাকবে অন্যদিকে phrase এ কোন finite verb থাকে না।

Clause এর উদাহরণ : I know what his name is.
এখানে What হচ্ছে Subordinate Conjunction. his name হচ্ছে Subject এবং Is হচ্ছে verb অর্থাৎ
What his name is হচ্ছে একটি Clause.

Clause সাধারণত তিন প্রকার :

১। Noun Clause
২। Adjective Clause
৩। Adverb /Adverbial Clause.

১। Noun Clause :
Noun clause হচ্ছে এমন Clause যা Noun যে কাজ করে থাকে ঠিক Noun Clause একই কাজ করে থাকে। Noun যেমন verb এর Subject, object ও preposition এর object হিসেবে ব্যবহৃত হয় ঠিক তেমনি Noun Clause verb এর subject, object এবং preposition এর object হিসেবে ব্যবহৃত হয়।

Noun Clause চেনার সহজ উপায় :

১। Verb এর Subject হিসেবে যে Clause ব্যবহৃত হবে তা Noun Clause হবে।

উদাহরণ :

What he said yesterday is not true.

এখানে What he said yesterday সম্পূর্ণ টা Is verb এর Subject হিসেবে কাজ করছে তাই What he said yesterday হচ্ছে Noun Clause.

2। Verb এর object হিসেবে যে Clause ব্যবহৃত হবে তাও Noun Clause হবে ।

উদাহরণ :

He asked me what I wanted.

এখানে Asked verb এর Object হিসেবে What I wanted ব্যবহৃত হয়েছে তাই এখানে What I wanted হচ্ছে Noun Clause.

Note : Verb কে What দ্বারা প্রশ্ন করা হলে যে উত্তর পাওয়া যাবে তাই হচ্ছে Noun Clause.

৩। Preposition এর Object হিসেবে যে Clause ব্যবহৃত হবে তা হবে Noun Clause.

উদাহরণ :

Choose a gift for whomever you like.

এখানে preposition For এর Object হিসেবে Whomever You like ব্যবহৃত হয়েছে তাই Whomever You like হচ্ছে Noun Clause.

তাই অামরা বলতে পারি যে Verb এর subject, object এবং preposition এর object হিসেবে যে Clause ব্যবহৃত হবে তা অবশ্যই Noun Clause হবে।
