Designing a movie poster with AI is a three-step process: Prompting, Refining, and Finishing.
1. The Prompt (The Vision)
Don't just describe the scene; describe the camera. Use keywords like:
👉Composition: "Rule of thirds," "Extreme close-up," or "Wide-angle landscape."
👉Lighting: "Volumetric fog," "Rim lighting," or "Teal and orange color grade."
👉Texture: "35mm film grain," "Kodak Portra 400," or "Hyper-realistic skin pores."
2. The Refinement (The Detail)
AI often struggles with hands or specific placement.
👉In-Painting: Use tools like Generative Fill to swap out a weapon, change a character's expression, or add a specific background element.
👉Out-Painting: Expand a square image into a vertical 2:3 aspect ratio to make room for the title and credits.
3. The Layout (The Brand)
AI is great for the "art," but humans are better at "design."
👉Typography: Use Photoshop or Canva to add the Title and Tagline.
👉Billing Block: Add the "credit crunch" at the bottom (the tiny names of directors/producers) to give it immediate "official" credibility.
👉Upscaling: Use an AI upscaler (like Topaz) to ensure the image is sharp enough for a 24x36 inch print.
Would you like me to generate a cinematic image for a specific movie idea you have?
