Learning from real-life experiences with our colleagues is a core part of our approach to knowledge management. As a growing team, we strongly emphasize this structured and organic practice sharing. Our quarterly strategy meeting helps everyone in our team to share their views on current technology trends, good practices, and lessons learned in projects.

A few tips to run similar sessions:

1. Keep the sessions short and diverse. Invite colleagues to share remarkable insights and learnings from the past quarter but keep it light and accessible. Sessions take 20 minutes or less.

2. Don't focus on just technology. Everyone participates in sharpening the strategy and narrative of the company, regardless of experience level. Every idea can be a great idea.

3. End with beer and pizzas. Rather than Amazon's "2 pizza rule", we maintain a ratio of half a 40cm pizza per person. And we order a lot.

4. Be like Bob, our colleague in the picture. Find a quiet spot for yourself to embed some learnings as they pass by at a high pace.

5. This is not an afternoon event, but a practice that is embedded in everyday professional life. We treat knowledge management the same way we'd treat a data product. It comes with backlog management, prioritization, ex*****on cycles, and retrospectives.
