At today's program committee meeting of Business Engineering, we decided to keep the "Big Data" course ONLINE during 2021-2022. This will facilitate our Data Analytics students to go on Erasmus exchange.

On Tuesday evening, we had our first hybrid lecture (i.e., both an online and on-campus audience; in total 120+ students) in our UGent Auditorium Quetelet for Business Engineering/Data Analytics. This added the nice bonus feature that a Zoom cloud recording of the session is available for later viewing. A big thank you goes to Bart Van Der Vurst and Sacha Dubrulle (both graduates from this program, and now working at the Data Science company Element61) for explaining the details of GitHub to our students so that version control has no secrets anymore (which is a necessity when teams collaborate to develop software code).
