I would like to warmly invite you to visit the exhibition of my graduation project.
My work focuses on the theme of forced displacement, with a particular emphasis on the Palestinian issue – although the theme is universally recognizable.
The project consists of a combination of installations, animation, and graphic art.

يركّز عملي على موضوع التهجير القسري، مع تسليط الضوء بشكل خاص على القضية الفلسطينية – بالتاكيد هذا الموضوع يحمل طابعًا إنسانيًا عالميًا.
يتكوّن المشروع من مزيج من التركيبات الفنية، والرسوم المتحركة، والفنون الطباعية.

I was chosen to take part in the exhibition "Democracy", part of the Expo (Magrafica) project by Masereelfonds. Out of 80 participants, 30 artists were selected.
My artwork talks about "false democracy" in some Arab countries. The leader looks like he is in charge, but he is actually a puppet controlled by others. The barcode with the word "Democracy" shows that democracy here is not real. It is something bought and sold by powerful groups.

The exhibition honors the memory of Belgian artist Frans Masereel, a pioneer in print art. Masereel used art to support democracy and human rights. He believed art should speak for those who have no voice.

تم اختياري للمشاركة في معرض "الديمقراطية"، ضمن مشروع Expo Magrafica الذي تنظمه Masereelfonds. تم اختيار 30 فنان من بين اكثر من 80 فنان.يتحدث عملي عن "الديمقراطية الزائفة" في بعض الدول العربية. يبدو القائد وكأنه في السلطة، لكنه في الحقيقة مجرد دمية تتحكم بها أطراف أخرى. الرمز الشريطي (Barcode) الذي عليه كلمة "Democracy" يوضح أن الديمقراطية هنا ليست حقيقية، بل أصبحت شيئًا يُشترى ويُباع من قبل مجموعات قويه.

المعرض يكرم ذكرى الفنان البلجيكي فرانس ماسرييل (Frans Masereel)، رائد فن الطباعة. نعتقد أن أفكاره الفنية والفكرية أصبحت مهمة مرة أخرى. كان ماسرييل يستخدم الفن للدفاع عن الديمقراطية وحقوق الإنسان، وكان يؤمن أن الفن يجب أن يكون صوتًا لمن لا صوت لهم.

I am honored to announce my participation in the MAGRAFICA 2025 exhibition under the title "Democracy", organized by Masereelfonds in collaboration with various artistic initiatives.

Out of more than 80 applicants, I was selected as one of 30 artists whose works will be showcased in this significant collective exhibition. The show highlights diverse interpretations of democracy through graphic art and printmaking techniques.

يشرفني أن أعلن عن مشاركتي في معرض "MAGRAFICA 2025" تحت عنوان "الديمقراطية في صورة"، الذي تنظّمه مؤسسة Masereelfonds بالتعاون مع عدد من المشاريع الفنية.

تم اختياري من بين أكثر من 80 فناناً، لأكون ضمن مجموعة من 30 فناناً فقط ستُعرض أعمالهم ضمن هذا الحدث الفني الهام، الذي يجمع بين الفنون البصرية وتقنيات الطباعة للتعبير عن موضوع الديمقراطية من زوايا متعددة ومعاصرة.

De respons op onze open call was een groot succes: we kregen 130 inzendingen ingezonden van meer dan 80 kunstenaars. Een deskundige jury beoordeelde de werken op basis van artistieke kwaliteit, en de link met het thema democratie en Masereel. In de jury zetelden Iris Kockelbergh (directeur van Museum Plantin-Moretus), curator Pierre Muylle, Ingrid Ledent (professor aan de Koninklijke Academie voor Schone Kunsten Antwerpen), grafisch vormgever Broos Stoffels en Lisa Bracke (MSK Gent), die Manfred Sellink, directeur van MSK Gent, verving. Zij selecteerden een dertigtal werken die als basis dienen voor de tentoonstelling die in 2025 en 2026 door Vlaanderen en Brussel reist.

Van harte welkom op de vernissage van Magrafica op donderdag 15 mei 2025 om 19:00 in het Klooster van de Grauwzusters te Antwerpen. Reserveren kan via mail naar [email protected] en dit 8 mei 2025.
