Eid al-Adha, the "Festival of Sacrifice" and also called the "Sacrifice Feast" is the second of two Muslim holidays celebrated worldwide each year, and considered the holier of the two. It honours the willingness of Abraham to sacrifice his son.
On the eve of Eid, children of Bahrain will dress up in their traditional attire and will sacrifice their beloved 'Heya Beya' baskets into the sea, while singing folk songs. This is my highlight EVERY year and I truly enjoy watching the innocence, joy and pure delight that falls onto my lens while capturing this event!
