I've been seeing a recent trend in freelance website developement.
Companies that have a small budget are hiring freelancer developers, paying them a meager BHD 80- 100 for the development of the complete site.
Freelancer's: If you don't understand your worth, who will? You're a developer and not a slave. I agree there's a need to learn about the industry. If you're not confident, do some free work for people/companies you care about in the beginning. But please stop selling your services like onions in the market.
This attitude results in -
- Bad pay throughout your career (add bitching, complaining)
- Labelling freelance developer as a worthless profession
Help companies and people who need your services, but not at the cost of your self-worth, no.
