Our Story

BBC TV CORRESPONDENT BUILDS ICONIC CASTLE IN RIO DE JANEIRO’S MOST FAMOUS SAFE HAVEN (beside Brazil’s SWAT HQ)

The MAZE is a multi-faceted cultural center with Live Jazz events (cited 6 years running as a World Top Jazz Venue by DOWNBEAT Magazine), cutting edge Brazilian music events, a permanent art exibition, and architecture described as Unique & Original by National Geographic. It's also the only place you can get a genuine curry (we import all our spices from India and the UK). The MAZE also supports other local community teaching projects including classical music, ballet, football and English conversation. Foreign artists are often hosted and foreign volunteers who wish to contribute to The MAZE project may be hosted free. The MAZE is a favourite MOVIE LOCATION offering production & casting backup (e.g. The Incredible Hulk, Clips e.g. Snoop Dogg, Pharrell Williams, Black-Eyed Peas).
