Don’t Let “Garbage Gut” Get Your Dog! 🐶💥

Hey Fam! We know it’s tempting to give your pooch some of your plate maybe a lil’ curry chicken, some KFC, or even a slice of cake. But beware! Feeding dogs table food can cause “garbage gut”, that nasty upset tummy that comes with diarrhea, vomiting, and sometimes serious tummy trouble. 😬

When dogs eat human food:
🍗 Too much fat = pancreatitis (painful, dangerous!)
🌶️ Spices & seasoning = stomach irritation (vomiting, diarrhea)
🍫 Chocolate, onions, garlic = toxic, can even be life-threatening

Your dog might beg for scraps, but their bodies aren’t built for our Bahamian feast. Stick to their regular dog food and treats, they’ll stay healthy, happy, and full of energy for all the running on the beach! 🐾☀️

🐾 Why Is My Pet Scooting? It’s Not Just a Funny Habit—It’s a Sign Something’s Wrong! 🐾

Have you noticed your dog or cat dragging their rear end along the floor? 😬 While it might seem silly or even make you laugh, scooting is usually your pet's way of saying: "Help me, I’m uncomfortable!"

One of the most common causes of scooting is an issue with the a**l glands—a topic many pet parents aren’t familiar with.

👉 So, what are a**l glands?
A**l glands (also called a**l sacs) are two small scent glands located just inside your pet’s re**um. These glands naturally empty a small amount of fluid when your pet poops—it's part of how they mark territory. But sometimes, especially in small dogs or those with soft stool, the glands don’t empty properly. This can lead to buildup, impaction, or even infection—and that’s when your pet starts scooting in an effort to relieve the pressure.

But a**l glands aren't the only reason your pet might be scooting! Other common causes include:

🔸 Worms or other parasites – Especially tapeworms
🔸 Allergies – From food or environmental triggers
🔸 Skin infections or irritation – Around the rear
🔸 Matted fur or debris – Like grass or hair stuck near the area

📞 If your pet is scooting frequently, licking excessively back there, or seems uncomfortable, it’s time for a visit! We can safely express a**l glands, check for parasites, and provide treatment so your pet can feel better fast.

🩺 No more itching. No more scooting. Just a happy, comfy pet.

🐾👑 Happy Cat World Domination Day! 👑🐾

Yes, it’s a real holiday—though honestly, cats think every day is about them. 😼

Today we officially honor our feline overlords, who have spent centuries pretending to be cuddly while secretly plotting to take over the world… one laser pointer at a time. 😹

Let’s face it:

- They sleep 18 hours a day and still act like we're the lazy ones.

- They knock things off counters just to assert dominance.

- They mysteriously appear every time you open a can of tuna.

- And they’ve mastered the art of mind control with just one slow blink. 🐈‍⬛✨

Whether you serve your cat like royalty or merely exist to refill the kibble bowl, today we celebrate the true rulers of our homes (and hearts 💖).
