Lam Gyeltsen,at 93 of Goem Gongma is currently making a statue in Thimphu. This lineage of Jimzo ( clay sculpting) was handed down through the family tree 🌲 by Lam D**o himself who studied with Lobay Phurbjay, the original master of this particular style of Jimzo, who lived in the 16th century. It is predicted the all of the statues made by Lobay Phurbjay will speak. Amazing to see this masterpiece unfold!

Neyphu has a new furry protector, Bruno. Please be careful and maybe call ahead, he’s usually tied up during the day if there’s activity or guests, but sometimes he’s roaming… a great addition to the family, he’s super friendly once you know him.
🐶❤️🐶
Our guests loved to visit Lama G’s village at Neyphu, they made offerings and Lama G did a puja for them.
Our village Atsara was really hilarious this year! The sacred and profane expressed in his body, speech and mind…always on point!

Day 5 April 12, 2025. The Paro Thongdrel~ This sacred Thongdrel is a gigantic tapestry displayed on the last day of the annual Paro Tshechu as the highlight of the festival. It is is brought out of the Dzong at approximately 3:00 am in the morning, replete with a ‘Chipdrel,’ or a ‘Traditional Ceremonial Procession.’ Thousands brave the early hours, the cold and the rain every year just to get a glimpse of it, called “seeing liberation”. It was commissioned around 1675 by the second Paro Penlop.
