In observance of World Hypertension Day, Samtse General Hospital hosted a specialized awareness program in our conference hall today. We were joined by the students of Arura Academy, who played a vital role in educating the businessmen and shopkeepers of Samtse Town.

Because our local entrepreneurs lead busy, high-stress lives, bringing them into a clinical setting to discuss blood pressure management, diet, and prevention is a huge step toward a healthier local economy.

A big thank you to the Arura Academy team and all the participants who took time away from their shops to prioritize their well-being!

Today, we join the global community in celebrating International Nurses Day 2026.
This year, we reflect on the powerful theme: "Our Nurses. Our Future. Empowered Nurses. Save lives."

Nursing is the backbone of every healthcare system. Beyond the clinical expertise and the tireless bedside monitoring, nurses are the primary drivers of patient safety and recovery. By investing in the nursing profession, we aren't just improving health outcomes—we are strengthening the very foundation of our global economy.

To our colleagues in the wards, the emergency rooms, and the community clinics: thank you for your unwavering commitment, your precision in care, and the compassion you bring to every shift.
Join us in expressing our deepest gratitude to the nurses who dedicate their lives to protecting ours.

Participants were also provided with valuable parenting guidance to help build supportive, caring, and protective family relationships.

The initiative also encouraged collective responsibility in creating safe environments where children and young people can grow with confidence, care, and positive values.

Together, let us continue working towards a safer, healthier, and drug-free society.
