The move strengthens a long-standing built over years of helping trade, supporting businesses, and linking people to international markets. Access Bank Botswana Marks World Environment Day With
Nationwide Tree Planting Initiative
Some acts of support are felt instantly, while others quietly take root, grow over time, and outlast those who began them. On World Environment Day, Access Bank Botswana embraced the latter. On June 5th, 2026, the Bank marked the day under the theme of Climate Action, in line with the global campaign. To celebrate, staff, community members, and students came together to plant fruit trees across Ieng Primary School, Lobatse, Kabakae Kgotla, Ghanzi, Palapye Kgotla, and Maun—an effort aimed at building community and reinforcing the Bank’s dedication to environmental sustainability, climate action, and lasting community impact. This initiative is expected to benefit around 4,000 people across these areas.
