A sanctuary of hope where widows rise through grief into grace, purpose, and healing in Christ

21/05/2026

At five years today, my loss has become ‘a story’ that many have heard, yet it remains the reality I live day after day, hour by hour. What others hear as words when I share my story on different platforms to different audiences, I still feel as my reality in the trembling of my hands, in my palms that still sweat, in the brokenness that lingers within, though l show a brave front… And yet, I continue to share, because behind the story beats the rhythm of a love so true, a union formed by God’s grace, lived fully, and cherished deeply.

At five years today, the ache has not vanished, nor has the question ‘why?’ found answers… Why such beauty should end so abruptly, I cannot say… But I choose to rest… Rest in the sovereignty of a loving, covenant keeping God, the one who has walked beside me through these years, whispering peace and comfort in the darkest nights. The one who has placed family and friends by my side to journey with me each day. I take comfort in knowing that nothing in life escapes His hand. My loss did not surprise Him, nor was He overcome by the adversary. He was in control then, and He remains in control now.

As Job’s chapter 42 came, so too shall mine come in this life and in eternity, when I behold my beloved Lawrence again at Jesus’ feet. To God be the glory, for even in sorrow God writes a greater story, and even in brokenness He plants the seeds of everlasting hope.

I celebrate the life of a man worthy of double honour. A man whose story will forever be engraved in my heart of hearts.

The Lord reigns forever!

We shared a Spirit filled Mother’s Day celebration yesterday. Clothed in elegant leteisi and surrounded by the presence of God, the atmosphere overflowed with worship, joy, love, and heartfelt appreciation for every mother and woman present.

Yesterday reminded us that mothers are truly a gift from God. As Isaiah 66:13 declares, “As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you.” The nurturing, praying, loving, and unwavering strength carried by mothers is heaven’s reflection of care and compassion.

To every mother, no matter what life may bring your way, keep pressing forward, keep trusting in God, and continue walking boldly in faith, purpose, and grace as the one and only mother your children will ever have.

Still She Rises proudly cheers every woman onward. May you rise above every challenge, flourish in every season, and become all that God has called you to be.

Behind every prayer, every sacrifice, and every act of unconditional love is the heart of a mother. ❤️

To the women who continue to rise through every season with faith, strength, and grace , you are deeply appreciated and beautifully celebrated.

Happy Mother’s Day from Still She Rises. 🌷

We enjoyed a beautiful and uplifting service this past Sunday! Seeing both young and old dressed in their school uniforms reminded us that learning never stops, whether in the classroom or in our walk with God.

This was a beautiful send-off theme for our children as they head back to school, and a reminder that in God’s Kingdom, it is the posture of our hearts that matters most.

“Let the little children come to Me… for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” – Matthew 19:14

May our children and generations to come remain rooted in the Word of God, growing in wisdom, truth, and grace 🤍

The grave could not hold Him, and because He lives, we have a hope that can never be buried. No matter how heavy life may feel, Easter reminds us that Jesus has already overcome. In Him, there is new life, renewed strength, and unshakable peace. Let your heart be lifted, victory is already won.

Happy Easter Holidays Beloved🩷

As l celebrate my husband's heavenly birthday, l honour the memory of his life. A life well lived with God's word as his final authority. The pain remains but we have learnt to allow the peace of God to guard our hearts as a family - Philippians 4 vs7. I am grateful that ours is not farewell but "Till we meet again at the feet of Jesus." FOREVER IN OUR HEARTS and FOREVER LOVED ❤️
