LARGE FORMAT DIGITAL PRINTER AND VINYL CUTTER OPERATOR

Multimedia Graphix is actively seeking an experienced layout artists, digital printer and vinyl cutter operator who has the necessary skills and experience to jump right into production workflow without supervision.

The ideal candidate will possess a high degree of organization and will have sufficient technical expertise to effectively prioritize and manage a digital printing and layout workload and must be highly committed to delivering precision quality printed projects with minimum errors on a tightly managed production schedule.

1) Minimum of 3 years experience operating large format digital printing and vinyl cutting equipment without supervision. This must be indicated on your CV. Should experience in this field not be indicated on the CV, the applicant will not be invited for an interview.
2) Able to understand a print production job ticket and determine what steps are needed to produce a wide variety of printing projects.
3) Comprehensive knowledge of COREL DRAW and a clear understanding of vector artwork and colour separation. There will be a test required during the interview process for the interviewer to gauge the level of COREL DRAW knowledge. Multimedia Graphix does not use Adobe Illustrator as a design platform, so if the applicants knowledge base is only Adboe Illustrator, this will not be sufficient.
4) Applicant must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing in the English Language.
5) Comfortable performing basic computer and printing equipment maintenance.
6) Strong file management organisational skills.
7) Comfortable working in a fast paced environment and able to work on multiple projects at once while maintaining a calm composure.
8) Experience performing basic printing equipment troubleshooting and maintenance, including changing rolls of material, printer cartridges and print heads, clearing material jams and following on-screen instructions to bring equipment back to operational standards.
9) Able to lift up to 25kg rolls of material throughout the day.
10) Applicant must have an Omang.
11) A drivers license would be advantageous.
12) There is no obligation in this post to advertise the salary which will be offered, this will be determined by the level of experience the applicant has on offer.
