The EcoFest will take place at EcoTechnoPark for the first time in seven years.

The organizers promise an engaging program featuring a wide range of activities. In particular, visitors will have the opportunity to ride several types of uPods, learn more about the company’s targeted projects, speak with General Designer Anatoli Unitsky, explore the latest developments, and much more. Special attention will be given to demonstrations of infrastructure solutions and the capabilities of string transport technology.

In addition to the business-oriented part of the program, the festival will also provide extensive opportunities for informal networking. EcoFest will serve as a platform bringing together engineers, investors, and innovation enthusiasts interested in the sustainable development of eco-friendly transport.

Forbes has published an expert op-ed by Nadezhda Kosareva, CEO of UST Inc., titled “The City as a Construct: Why No Urban Concept Works in Isolation.” In the piece, Kosareva breaks down some of the most popular planning trends shaping today’s urban agenda.

Among other themes, she explains why even the most advanced solutions lose much of their impact when implemented as standalone initiatives. In her view, approaches such as tactical urbanism, the “15-minute city,” and measures sometimes described as a “diet” for roads can deliver real outcomes only when they are integrated into a broader, city-wide development system.
