We are still going strong at Peacework Belize and we are back with another essential tip to help you take control of your future. Today is all about Debt Management.
This is the art of handling what you owe so you can pay it down effectively and stop the cycle of stress. 📉
Where do you start?
Understand your debt: List your balances and interest rates along with your due dates.
Create a plan: Build a realistic payment schedule and stay consistent to avoid extra fees.
How to prioritize?
🚀 The Smartest Move: Aim for the Debt Avalanche. You save the most money on interest and finish faster when you prioritize your high interest debt first.
⛄ The Alternative: Use the Debt Snowball if you need a psychological boost. You should focus on your smallest balance first for a quick win if you are not tackling the highest interest. This helps you keep your momentum going!
It does not matter which path you take as long as you start today. Check out the attached checklist to take your first step.

It’s Financial Literacy Month, and we are setting a new standard for your wallet this 2026! 🇧🇿💰
Peacework Belize wants you to master the most important rule of money: Pay Yourself First.
This habit must be non-negotiable. You should save a minimum of 10% of your TOTAL income before spending a single cent.
This includes:
✅ Your primary salary 💼
✅ Every dollar from side hustles 🛠️
✅ Any money received as gifts 🎁
Treat this 10% like a mandatory bill that you owe to your future self. You deserve to be the first person who benefits from your hard work!
P.S. If 10% feels out of reach right now, don't let that stop you. Start small with whatever you can, but make sure you are saving something every single time money comes in!
