Another goal of mine, has always been to showcase women entrepreneurs, and women who have been in business for many years. When I first had the idea to start on this journey, I solely intended to use this page as a tribute to successful women of the Cayo District.
Once such woman is the owner of Lisa's Boutique, Mrs. Lisa Awe-Smith, who at the tender age of 17, directly out of highschool, decided to dedicate her life to making fashion known in our small town.
Lisa's Boutique has been opened to business for over 30 years, making it the first and longest lasting True Boutique in San Ignacio.
Lisa's Boutique is unique to other boutiques, in that only one of each item is purchases to display and to be sold. In other words, there are no two, nor three dresses or tops alike. This has always been what sets Lisa's Boutique apart from other clothing importers and vendors.
Lisa's also prides itself in bringing in Brand name Shoes, Bags, Cosmetics, Perfumes, Male and female clothing, watches, jewelry and all other types of dress apparel.
Lisa attributes her success to the fact that her business is family owned and operated. She has always put extra effort into developing a close relationship with all her clients who have undoubtedly remained faithful, as a result of the quality of the merchandise as well as the superior service that they receive. Customers not only purchase from the items there, but they can also place orders for specific Items that they may need,
Lisa's Boutique being the longest lasting boutique in San Ignacio, has proven itself to be the place to shop for all your apparel needs.
Visit Lisa's Boutique on West St. In San Ignacio, where you will be attended to properly, and trust me, you will walk out with a bag or two of fine quality clothing, shoes or accessories.

As I had written on my page, I intend not only to give a personal review but I also will write up on the history of the business I am promoting.

Pop's Restaurant initially opened it's doors 14 years ago as an ice cream shop. Jorge David Awe, better known as Pop's, was 60 years of age when he started on this new journey after his retirement from working and living abroad.

He saw the need for a, " Nice little hang out spot for school children and families." Soon he realized that he could never make a profit as he was giving the ice cream away to those kids who wanted ice cream but did not have the $2.00 to pay for it. Ice cream was expensive and despite all his good intentions he soon realized he could not continue on with Pop's being an ice cream shop. Literally, his business was operating at a loss due to his kindness. This doesn't surprise me as honestly, even today he and his daughter Lisa have very kind hearts and feed many of the people who are homeless and needy downtown. This I have personally witnessed on many occasions.

Realizing this, he immediately had the idea to convert Pop's Place into Pop's Restaurant and begin offering breakfast all day from 6:00 am to 2:00 pm, for the many locals and tourists who arrived daily.

This was an amazing move on his behalf and thanks to his persevering spirit, we now all can have our tasty, healthy and homemade breakfast daily, in a clean and air-conditioned, comfortable location.

Pop's also proudly announces that it will be opening it's doors nightly beginning this Thursday December 1st., 2017, each week from Thursday to Sunday, from 6pm. to 10 pm.

Later this week I will be posting the three meal packages that will be offered each night.

They now offer catering for special events off and on site.

But to top it all off, the best thing yet is that they are also Giving away a free breakfast for everyone on their birthday, with the proof of a proper I.D. of course.

Having been named as a winner by the BTB, for a five star breakfast location, Pop's Restaurant is rapidly gaining National and International Interest. Tourist and Belizean's visiting Cayo always have Pop's Restaurant as a must do on their list.

What are you waiting for? Stop by, have a meal and trust me, you won't regret it.

About to dig in. The pumpkin soup was splendid. I do think pictures speak for themselves. And as for me well, I am enjoying with family and friends who are arriving.
