FREE Youth Ranch Roping Ground Clinics - Presented by the BC Bridlehorse Heritage Association 🐎

Two beginner-friendly clinics designed to build confidence, skills, and horsemanship in a supportive environment—perfect prep for the Art of the Bridlehorse this September! No horse needed as this will be all from the ground.

Due to the unbelievable response in just the last few hours to our Fraser Valley event, we’ve been able to add another date — November 2 in Barnhartvale, BC!

🐴 So You Want to Learn About Branding…
We’re thrilled to announce that Jeff Taylor will be instructing a hands-on clinic designed to help you and your horse build confidence, control, and connection in preparation for branding season!

(Keep your eyes peeled for a Spring Session and an upcoming Three-Day Branding Clinic near Williams Lake, BC!)

Goals of the Clinic:
• Prepare horse and rider to approach, rope, and handle cattle safely and confidently
• Assess your horsemanship level and understand what stage your horse is at for confident roping

What to Expect:

Body Control
• Learn key techniques for safety and confidence
• Expose your horse to ropes in a calm, non-threatening way — building confidence where it counts
• Develop your own comfort and confidence as a roper

Roping Skills Practice
• Learn correct dallying techniques
• Practice sliding rope smoothly through your hand (no burns!)
• Track and rope the dummy with accuracy and flow
• Refine rope handling and horn work for efficient sliding

Whether you’re new to roping or looking to refine your groundwork before heading into the branding pen, this clinic is an excellent opportunity to build the skills and confidence you and your horse need for branding season.

Please note: To qualify for the Three-Day Branding Clinic in late Spring 2026, participants must attend this November or the upcoming Spring 2026 session.
