Endless Orchid Blooms - You finally get your orchid to bloom, you fall in love with the flowers, then they start to die off and you get sad.😔
(While not guaranteed, this method is sure working well here and had to share!)
DO NOT CUT THAT FLOWER STEM DOWN TO THE PLANT!!! DO THIS INSTEAD ⬇️
See the video at the end for our orchid stem! Yes, we have a pet spider that keeps them pest free!🕷️🕸️
1️⃣ Look at the flower stem as the last flower or two are about to fall off and pick a healthy looking node. Try to leave a couple nodes also. In the video you can see we cut for one node, but the stem grew out further down!
2️⃣ Cut back the flower stem to within 1.5 cm or 1/2”
(The cut point will die back a bit and you don’t want it to die back past the node)
3️⃣ Cross your fingers (and toes), pray to your higher power and wait to see if it worked!
Hope this helps you sustain your orchid blooms over and over again!
