Let's try this again! At this week's Coffee & Culture, we'll talk about Amherstburg's corner stores. Help us make a map of all of the independent variety stores throughout town, and share your memories of visiting the shops.

Bring your coffee (or beverage of choice) and join in! Each week, participants will have a chance to win a free drink from a local café.

A celebration of Canada's Diamond Jubilee (60th Anniversary) on July 1, 1927 in Amherstburg. Shown here, a parade is led by Major Balfour, Major L.W. Thomas, and Captain Ralph Reaume heading north on Dalhousie Street. Behind them, the Hamtramck High School Band plays, followed by a section of Amherstburg Veterans of the Great War. The entire procession spanned nearly a mile and a half long.
