We acknowledge that the Anishinaabe lands on which we live and work are the traditional and treaty territory of the Chippewas of Georgina Island, as well as many other Nations whose presence here continues to this day.

We also recognize the tragic legacy of residential schools, the missing children, the families left behind, and the survivors of those institutions.

We reflect on how we can play a role in reconciliation, as it is a shared responsibility that can only improve our collective futures.
