The Consistency Corner
Marketing strategist and content management taking overwhelm out of marketing for small businesses.
03/31/2026
You have two lists in your head right now. I know because I do too.
The stuff you show up for... content, emails, posting, engaging. That's list one. You're solid at it.
Then there's list two. The projects. The lead magnet you started in January. The funnel that's 80% done. The systems you know you need.
List two is the reason list one actually converts.
If your project list has been collecting dust, the April 16th Marketing Strategy Lab is built for exactly that. Come work through it with us.

Unfortunately the algorithm isn’t about rewarding positivity right now. It’s rewarding specificity.
And there’s a difference between being divisive for the sake of it and simply being clear about who you are and what you stand for.
One repels everyone. The other repels the wrong people and magnetizes the right ones.
If you’ve been playing it safe with your content because you don’t want to alienate anyone — that strategy might be costing you the very audience you’re trying to build.
A good marketing director in your corner can help you figure out where your authentic point of view lives and how to show up with it consistently.
That’s not just brand strategy. That’s how you build an audience that buys.
The irony of being a marketing strategist who would rather do literally anything else than send a cold DM is not lost on me.
I know it works, and it doesn’t have to be a cold, salesy “hey girl” DM.
But reaching out to my network to ask for a referral, to come to an event, or a follow-up makes me want to hide in my bed.
Even though I know it’s effective, I will still reorganize my entire Google Drive before I send that first message.
If you’re also out here avoiding the thing you know you need to do — hi, same.
