Grant applications are now open for the Dr. Howard Krieger Legacy Fund!

Funding is available through two streams:

✨ Community Education Support
For trans and gender-diverse individuals pursuing post-secondary education in fields connected to community health and well-being.

✨ Individual Transitioning Support
For costs connected to transition-related care, including gender-affirming care, prescriptions, counselling, voice therapy, hair removal, fertility treatments, documentation updates, and more.

Join us for a fun, casual program! Each month, explore a new creative project, perfect for beginners. Most supplies are included, come unleash your creativity and have a great time with us!

This month's craft is Cardboard Weaving. Tonight at the Barrie Public Library from 6-8pm.

Learn the basics of weaving using simple cardboard looms in this hands-on, creative program. Participants will explore weaving patterns and techniques while creating a colourful textile piece using yarn and recycled cardboard.

Today is the International Day against Homophobia, Biphobia, Inters*xism & Transphobia. We thank the City of Barrie for raising the Progressive Pride Flag on Friday in Partnership with TransQ.

We recognize May 17th as an annual day to raise awareness against the rise of discrimination based on gender, s*x & s*xual orientation. We believe this is especially important to highlight during our 15th season; as FSP was founded in direct response to anti-lgbt hate & public safety concerns in May of 2012.

As Marsha P Johnson said: "You never completely have your rights, one person, until you all have your rights."

Our Orillia Q***r Craft Circle is canceled due to inclement weather with a possible postponement date to be announced as soon as possible.

We urge folks to stay home & stay safe during the storm. There may be flash floods and water pooling on roads due to heavy rainfall and frozen ground with little ability to absorb the rainfall. As such we have decided to cancel due to safety concerns.
