Is there someone you haven't forgiven? It might be blocking God's work in your life. Ask for His strength, then take action. Even if you can't speak to them, the most important thing is to choose forgiveness.

Part 5 of our He Is Risen – This week’s message at First Baptist Church Barrie explores one of the most powerful realities of the resurrection: the power to forgive. Through Scripture, the story of Joseph, and a moving testimony of faith and perseverance, we are reminded that because Christ is risen, His resurrection power is alive in us today.

What does it mean to live “in Christ” and have Christ living in us? It means we are no longer bound by bitterness, anger, or the weight of past wounds. Through Jesus, we are given the supernatural strength to forgive as we ourselves have been forgiven.

This sermon challenges us to examine the “choke points” in our spiritual lives and invites us to experience the freedom, healing, and joy that come through extending forgiveness by the power of the Holy Spirit.

“He will give you beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, and the garment of praise instead of a spirit of heaviness.”
