Brigitte Eve Announced as Official Emcee for Orillia's Lakeside Live 2026 Concert Series
ORILLIA, ON – July 9, 2026 – Organizers are excited to announce that the talented Brigitte Eve will serve as the Official Emcee for the Lakeside Live 2026 Concert Series, beginning with the opening concert on Saturday, July 11.
Known for her engaging stage presence, dynamic personality, and passion for connecting with audiences, Brigitte Eve will welcome concertgoers throughout the series, introducing performers and helping create an unforgettable experience for music fans of all ages.
Lakeside Live has become one of Orillia's signature summer events, bringing the community together for an exciting lineup of live entertainment along the city's beautiful Couchiching waterfront. This year's series showcases a diverse range of musical styles, ensuring there's something for everyone to enjoy. Join us, location is at the Rotary Aqua Theatre.

What started out as a stop to clean out his car turned to quick action for the one we know as Gary From Barrie.

When at the gas station Gary heard a loud smash and saw the pick up had rear ended a compact car with a family of four.

Gary along with an off duty police officer quickly went to check on all involved. Gary headed for the blue pick up while the Officer checked the family.

Gary spoke with the driver and learned of a medical condition. Gary proceeded to ask if the driver was able to leash his dog and attach to a seatbelt so the little guy wouldn't run. When Paramedics arrived Gary passed on all important information and the driver he was with became priority. The driver was transported to RVH the family of four were all okay with just some shock.

Every person handles moments differently, Gary stepped up and with small actions help in a huge way.
