The Willow Quilt (one of Kitchen Table Quilting's latest patterns) arrived and a customer has already called in and sent us an inspo photo to have a quilt kit made.

We LOVE doing this!! We've got a preliminary fabric pull made and sent off to the customer to see if any edits need to be made.

This kit is so darling, that a few staff members are now contemplating what quilt they can make with these soothing pinks and apricots.

Snag Magic is restocked! This is Lindsay and Breeanna's favourite tool to bury threads (a tool that is definitely in their top 3 longarm tools) - used daily, and so often that it is kept on the front of the longarm machine with a magnet! (it also has been used to fix snags in sweaters 😆)

At Around the Block, we pride ourselves in carrying quilting notions that we like, have clear preferred features and that we USE. There are other versions out there of a similar tool, but Snag Magic is our favourite. Why? It is a solid lengthy needle with a large loop. Others that we have tried have a hollow needle with a bevel cut (potentially could slice thread as it passes through the fabric), shorter needle (less real estate for your fingers as well as room for burying) and much smaller loops (hard to grab your threads).

Consider us your consumer watchdog! If you have a favourite "tried and true" product that you think we should carry, let us know! You wouldn't be the first! Sometimes our hottest tips come from customers.
