Full insulation retrofit underway on the Hiellen Cabins in Masset.

Our crew is on site giving these cabins a full insulation retrofit from the studs out, so they’re built to actually perform through all of the northern coastal seasons, not just get by until the next repair.

This kind of work really matters in these remote areas, getting the details and timing right so communities can count on these buildings for years to come.

We believe the hardest part of remote construction is not the build, but rather getting everything to site. 
 
You are watching equipment and supplies headed into Masset Inlet, for a job most companies would call too remote, too complicated, too much hassle. We just call it Tuesday.
 
This is what we’re actually good at... figuring out the logistics nobody else wants to touch, so communities that are hard to reach don’t have to wait longer than everyone else for the buildings they need.
 
We do it through years of experience, love of the challenge, and doing what we say we’re going to do.
 
This is one load, one trip, one job moving forward. 
 
But it’s also every job we do. That’s kind of the whole point.

A respected visitor toured an 8-bed unit in the shop yard with Justin today. Someone he’s built real trust and friendship with over years of working together up north.

He loved the unit, had a lot of good questions, and by the end of the tour he was already talking about bringing it back to present to his community’s leadership.

These are the moments that matter the most to us. A true relationship built over time doing exactly what it’s supposed to do. Opening a door for people who need housing that actually fits their land, their climate, and their life.

Great relationships. Simplicity. Promises kept.

Our team walked through one of our latest 8-bed modular units today, and it’s a great example of what we mean when we say we build for people, not just projects.

10.5 ft ceilings. Wide, naturally lit hallways. Single occupancy rooms, big common areas, kitchen and dining space, laundry, and a proper entry with boot room and coat storage.

This is more than construction for us.

When we work with Nations and remote communities, the goal has never been to just come in, build something, and leave.

We want to create real relationships.
We want community dollars to go further.
We want local people involved.
And when the project is done, we want the community stronger than when we arrived.

Tony said it best:
“We don’t go to a Nation and tell them what they need. We come in, listen, work alongside them, and do everything we can to leave the community better than we found it.”

This school project is one example of that commitment.

We’re proud of the buildings we create, but even more proud of the relationships, mentorship, and opportunities that come from the work along the way.
