Do you have leftover unused medicines sitting at home? These unused medicines can pose a serious risk if accidentally taken by the wrong person, a child, or a pet. Old medications can also be problematic for the person they were prescribed for, if they are expired or interfere with new medications.

There is no reason to keep potentially dangerous unused medications lying around. You can bring leftover prescription pills, creams, and gels, as well as over-the-counter medications and natural health products into the pharmacy for safe disposal.

Help keep your family safe by routinely cleaning out your medicine cabinet and disposing of leftover medications. Find safe medication disposal tips here: https://www.tevacanada.com/en/canada/your-health-wellness/proper-medication-disposal/

It’s Acne Awareness Month. Did you know that acne is one of the most common skin disorders that dermatologists diagnose? Whether you’re dealing with the occasional blemish, persistent pimples, or more severe cystic acne, you’re not alone.

Mild acne can usually be treated with topical over-the-counter products. Ask one of our pharmacists to walk you through your treatment options. We can also provide advice on dealing with stubborn acne and advise when a visit to a doctor might be the best option!

Red eyes can signal several different possible health issues, however in many cases there are things you do to help prevent it:

Avoid rubbing your eyes
Keep contact lenses clean and wear only for as long as directed
Make sure to remove eye makeup properly
Take regular breaks when you’re looking at a computer screen for a long period of time
Avoid eye irritants such as dust, smoke, or pet dander

Ask our pharmacist for advice on when to see a doctor. They can also review the over-the-counter eye drop options for dry eyes, allergies and other common irritants that can cause red eyes.
