DID YOU KNOW that this atrium is held up by eight free standing pillars and has been nicknamed "the crystal cathedral of commerce". It was designed by the Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava as a result of an international competition and it was created to evoke the canopy of a forest or a tree-lined avenue.
