Meet Minette Powell - RE/MAX ValleyView Realty Agent.
Minette has been proudly helping clients in real estate for over six years and has been part of the RE/MAX Valleyview family since January 2024. She specializes in residential real estate, guiding clients through every stage of life. Minette primarily serves Brandon and the surrounding Westman area, including communities like Forrest, Rivers, Souris, Minnedosa, and Sandy Lake. Her approach is all about preparation and support, ensuring buyers and sellers feel confident, informed, and ready to make the strongest decisions in competitive markets.
Fun fact: Minette was the recipient of the 2024 RE/MAX Top Promoter Award and has earned multiple consecutive sales awards throughout her career 🏆
Outside of work, Minette is a wife and mom who shares a multigenerational home with her high school sweetheart husband, her two teenage children, and her parents, along with three beloved furbabies - a Pomeranian, a Shih Tzu, and a hairless Sphynx cat. Her life is full of family, friends, gardening, scrapbooking, softball, golf, attending events, and traveling, especially exploring Canada and her favourite getaway, Las Vegas.
Minette’s journey into real estate was shaped by resilience. From 2013 to 2018, she battled cancer and continued maintenance therapy through June 2025. Coming out of remission around her 30th birthday, she refocused, embraced a new chapter, and earned her real estate licence. Her experience drives her approach to life and work, bringing gratitude, determination, and intention to every client she supports.

Getting to know me...

My intimate knowledge of this region, and my experiences of having lived here all of my life, give me an enthusiasm and a desire to make my home, your home. Truly, I love Brandon and the Westman area!
On a personal note, I graduated from Vincent Massey High School in 2007. From 2008 to 2019 I experienced the joys of becoming a wife to my high school sweetheart, and mother to my two wonderful children, worked in retail sales, as well as had the misfortune of battling cancer. I support numerous organizations and charities—including CancerCare Manitoba Foundation, Lymphoma Society Canada, and Heart & Stroke Foundation. When I am not working, I enjoy relaxing at the lake, scrapbooking, gardening, taking my dog for walks, watching TV/movies, and most importantly, spending time with my family and friends.
I decided to further my education and successfully completed the Real Estate as a Professional Career program in 2019. However, in terms of real estate, I feel that my education is never complete. As a licensed salesperson, I continually invest time, money and thought into the latest sales, marketing and negotiations techniques.
