! I have had many conversations with clients over the last couple of weeks regarding the corrective state of our current market. Some are welcoming this with open arms while others have been a more anxious and believe the market is “crashing”. As many of you know the housing market has been on a steady sharp incline since about mid 2021. The “why” behind the incline is multifaceted and there are many moving parts but the core reasons were low interest rates and low housing inventory. Fast forward to today, the Bank Of Canada has announced a few interest rate hikes and our inventory has started to slowly increase, and it’s not a bad thing! The market may feel a bit wonky at the moment as to it moves to balance, but I wouldn’t let it deter you from trying to secure a home or sell your current one.
