Just a quick update on Simba.

Simba is doing well. We started him on a joint supplement and some pain medication yesterday.

The pain medication is just temporary. This will help keep Simba comfortable while we work on his weight loss. We hope to be able to take Simba off the pain medication once he has lost some weight and no longer has as much strain on his joints.

The Joint supplement is something that Simba can stay on for life. This will help keep him comfortable and moving as he gets older.

We will keep every one posted with Simba's progress.

An Update On River.

Our pretty little lady River, has a meet and greet set up for July 17th.

If all goes well, River will have a new human of her very own. If River is not the right fit for potential adopter we will post her as being available, after the meet and greet.

Either way, we will keep everyone update as we move forward.

Meet River.

River was surrendered to us this past Tuesday. She is sill a little scared, but starting to settle in.

River is 6 years and 3 months old. She is spayed. She received a healthy pet exam and her FVRCP booster on the day of surrender. She is now fully vaccinated for 1 year.

River already has a potential adopter. We are working on arranging a meet and greet with this adopter to determine if River is the right kitty for him.

We will post an update on River once we figure out if she has a home or if we need to keep looking for a home for her.

Abba Is Ready For Adoption.

Abba had his healthy pet exam yesterday and he appears to be in good health! He received his Rabies vaccine and his 1st mature FVRCP vaccine after his exam, so he is ready to find his forever home.

Abba is 10 - 11 years old, neutered and front declawed. His Rabies vaccine is good now for 1 year. He will require a FVRCP booster in about 4 weeks and then this will also be good for 1 year.

Abba would make a great companion for a senior person/couple. He would also be a great fit for a single person or couple with a quiet home and no young children.

Abba is an indoor only cat. He has never been outside. He's only been in our rescue for a few days, but he is already warming up. He likes to be pet, he likes playing with cat nip toys and he is starting to exploring his new environment.

Abba will need a quiet, laidback home where he can relax and enjoy his senior years. We would prefer that he be the only pet in the home, but might consider a home with another senior cat, if it seems like the right fit.

The adoption fee for Abba is $75.
