One of the many cool things you could learn inside of our Python 8 week course is dictionaries.  ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
We cover:⁣
-what they are⁣
-how to work with them ⁣
-why they're special.  ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
A dictionary is known as a "data structure" and is generally known as a "associative array"(2D arrays covered prior to this lesson).⁣  It consists of a collection of key-value pairs. Each key-value pair maps the key to its associated value.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Example above shows, Jedi: as the key and Luke Skywalker as the value.  ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Why use a dictionary?  Well, there are many ways to store data onto our computers but as programmers we should always look for the best way.  Dictionaries are ordered, changeable and do not allow for us to have duplicate keys.⁣⁣

This is just the tip of the iceberg for dictionaries, but I promise it only gets more fun from here.  ⁣⁣
