Whether as a whole staff group or in work area summer staff devotions, every day begins with purpose - Bible teaching and prayer. These moments strengthen our faith, unite our hearts, and help prepare us to radiate the love of Christ to our campers.

What it’s all About!

Week One of camp is in the books, and already the impact is real for kids and families.

Deuteronomy 6:6-7 (NIV): "These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up."

We can apply this to a week at Teen Ranch. The mission of our front line workers is to radiate, live out, impress upon, and talk about the words that God has spoken in the Bible. They do that while sitting in the cabin, walking to meals and activities and to campfires. They live this out with bedtime devos and stories and early morning greetings. The goal has always been that the Ranch and its people would be saturated in the Word and the Spirit of God, and we know that every one of the children, youth and families are brought to Teen Ranch on purpose by the will of the Lord. On purpose.

Jeremiah 1:5 "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you."

He knows, He orchestrates, He blesses.

Message from a week one Mom.

“J… had the absolute best time!!!! He hasn’t put his Bible down since he got home!!
I am so happy with what Teen Ranch is doing…truly incredible! J came home in such peace, just beyond blessed.”

The fact that J is the son of a Teen Ranch alumni staff member makes the impact that much sweeter!

Please, keep praying for the leaders and staff at the Ranch as their light and love for Jesus changes lives and hearts one soul at a time. Have a most blessed week!

PS . Real photo of the day after camper! Good job everyone!🤣😊🤣😊

I Love to Tell the Story

Story telling is a centuries old method for preserving history, remembering heroes and villains, sharing important truths and lessons, recalling wonderful and not so wonderful events and a way to share the range of emotions from compassion, to excitement, grief or joy. Stories are meant to be fabulously applicable to all, or intensely personal. Stories are important.

You may have seen that we are collecting Teen Ranch “God Moment” stories for an anthology to be ready for our Sixtieth anniversary. If you are reading this, it is very possible that you had a moment (or maybe many more!) when God intervened in your life at the Ranch. Your moments are worth recording and sharing as encouragement to others and to spotlight the nature of our powerful, compassionate, just, benevolent and loving God. The Bible says

“And they have defeated him by the blood of the Lamb and by their testimony. And they did not love their lives so much that they were afraid to die.” Revelation 12:11

We deeply appreciate the stories we have received but know that there are thousands more! Not to guilt trip, (well maybe a little bit!) but yes, your story is important. Perhaps it is your story that will “defeat” the enemy in some future reader's life. We are not asking you to put your life in danger, just please, please send us your story!

Let this old song encourage you; we want to tell the story of how Jesus has worked in or through you at Teen Ranch. Please don’t miss this opportunity; we hope to hear from you all soon!

Stories should be 100-300 words, but we are flexible! Send to

Prayer Time!

Well, of course it is, every single day!

Staff Training has begun, which is the most critical week of the entire year! Leaders welcome returning and new summer staff, as they set the foundation, explain policies and procedures, outline expectations, help build healthy relationships and provide wholesome fun!!

Everyone on site for staff training has been carefully scrutinized ( in the very best possible way!), chosen, and found to have an important place in the wonderful orchestration that makes the “magic” of Teen Ranch summer camp happen.

1 Peter 2:9
“But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.”

This summer staff of 2026 is a group of experienced, and new young people who have been called together, on purpose, to share the goodness of God through their modelling of the light of Christ who dwells within, to campers and fellow staff members. At this point they are individuals; the goal is, that by the end of the week they will have begun to be that “holy nation” a team dedicated to one holy purpose, the Gospel.

Here we have the desired outcome,

2 Corinthians 9:13

"As a result of your ministry, they will give glory to God. For your generosity to them and to all believers will prove that you are obedient to the Good News of Christ."

By the end of each week, by the end of the summer, we pray that many, as in summers past, “will give glory to God” for those who have been obedient to God’s work, to share with them the Gospel.

So, let’s pray up, for individuals and for the team as they embark on this marvellous endeavour together. May the joy of the Lord be their strength!
