On this week’s Welding Wednesday, Bidell Gas Compression Ltd is highlighting the careful preparation and precision behind vessel fabrication ahead of the final weld.

Our team has been busy completing internal welds on vessel nozzles while also preparing and fitting multiple vane pack configurations, including both single-drain and double-drain designs in different sizes to meet specific project requirements.

Also featured are vessel choke tubes and baffles that have been carefully fit up and prepared for welding. Proper fit-up is a critical step in the fabrication process, ensuring components align correctly and perform as intended once installed. The attention to detail shown at this stage helps maintain quality, efficiency, and reliability throughout the life of the equipment.

From prep work to final completion, each component reflects the experience, attention to detail, and pride our team brings to every build. Thanks to everyone involved for continuing to deliver exceptional quality for our customers.

This past Saturday, we welcomed a sold-out field of golfers for a fantastic day on the course. With plenty of sunshine, it was the ideal backdrop for a day filled with friendly competition, meaningful connections, and memorable moments.

This year, we were also proud to raise funds for the Veterans Food Bank. We were truly humbled by the generosity of everyone who participated. The support shown throughout the day was incredible, and every contribution will help make a meaningful difference for veterans in our community. Thank you to everyone who donated and helped support such an important cause.

We’d also like to thank everyone who participated, volunteered, and worked behind the scenes to ensure the day ran seamlessly. Your enthusiasm and support helped create an atmosphere that made the tournament truly special.

While a few golf balls may have found their way into the rough, the day itself was definitely above par. More importantly, it was a wonderful opportunity to connect, build relationships, and enjoy a great day on the course together.

This week we're highlighting the Sub Arc welds on one of the largest vessels we've built to date.

Projects of this scale require careful planning and ex*****on. The vessel was first prepared with a root pass and hot pass to establish a solid foundation before being completed using the Submerged Arc Welding (SAW) process.

Over the course of a couple of days, our team worked through these extensive welds, producing the consistency, pe*******on, and quality that Sub Arc welding is known for. It's always impressive to watch a project of this size come together and see the craftsmanship that goes into every weld.
