Since Spring 2021, CEO and Founder of Included by Design Sean Crump, has been proud to serve on the Calgary Adapted Hub (CAH) powered by Canadian Tire Jumpstart Community Advisory Committee. Calgary Adapted Hub powered by Jumpstart is a collective of organizations committed to providing quality sport and recreation opportunities for children, youth, and families living with disabilities in the city of Calgary.
As a member of the Community Advisory Committee, Sean would like to take this as an opportunity to bring awareness to National AccessAbility Week ( ), running May 29 to June 4. This week celebrates the valuable contributions and leadership of Canadians with disabilities. Join us in celebrating this year’s theme “Inclusive from the start”, as we work together to build a community where no one is left out.

Canada is evolving into a more inclusive country, including for Canadians living with disabilities.
Get informed, empowered, and follow the meaningful development of the Accessibility Standards Canada, a framework designed under the Accessible Canada Act to identify and remove barriers that people living with disabilities face. The time is now.
We are proud of IBD's CEO and co-founder Sean Crump's contributions to this important project.
The seven priority areas under the Act are:
1. Employment.
2. The built environment.
3. Information and communication technologies.
4. Communication (other than information and communication technologies).
5. The procurement of goods, services, and facilities.
6. The design and delivery of programs and services.
7. Transportation.
People with disabilities should not have to ask for things they are entitled to, they should expect them. The first step is to develop accessibility standards. Our Roadmap to 2040 outlines how we will achieve this. 🗺️
